Gerry’s Legacy

We have received the final donation from a memorial fundraiser created in memory of Gerry Brain, raising an incredible £1,000, including Gift Aid.

Gerry spent part of his younger life in India and retained a lifelong affection for the country’s national animal—the magnificent wild Bengal tiger. In place of funeral flowers, his family and friends chose to celebrate his life by helping protect wild tigers and the wildlife that shares their forest home.

At the request of Gerry’s daughter, Jude, Gerry’s legacy will fund our Sarmania borehole, helping to create a new wildlife waterhole in India’s Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve. This lasting legacy will provide water for tigers and countless other animals during the dry season. We know that Gerry would have approved.

Thank you, Gerry. Your legacy will continue to make a difference for wildlife for many years to come.
